Possibility not Disability

Since the original Cheshire Home 'Le Court' was opened to Residents in 1948 by Leonard Cheshire, the Foundation has grown enormously. Now proudly offering its services worldwide; helping people in over 50 countries. A Cheshire Home is a home away from home. Giving support to people with physical disabilities whilst encouraging them to lead independent and fulfiled lives, according to their personal circumstances. Each Cheshire Home is crafted and developed by local people to meet local needs. The Jersey Cheshire Home at Rope Walk in St Helier is a wonderful example of this. Opened in 1983, Eric Young House provides accommodation for disabled people of all ages. Named after Eric Young, the principal benefactor, the Home boasts 21 bedsitting rooms, as well as fantastic facilities for short stay and day care patients.
