Dr Mitchell, who is also Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, England, wanted a website that enabled patients and clients to be able to obtain information relating to their condition as well as find advice on several cardiology treatments and procedures.
Dr Mitchell also specialises in the fitting of miniature defibrillators, the equivalent of a pocket-sized 'portable paramedic' that will jump-start the heart. One of several new procedures he is hoping to bring to the Island which will mean that patients do not have to travel to the UK for treatment.
The site went 'live' during February 2007
